Hi there,
My name is Karla (She/Her/Ella), and I’m a bilingual Clinical Social Worker (LIC#101971), daughter, younger sister, and dear friend. Lover of nature, creativity, and passionate about nurturing ourselves and others. I strongly believe that the healing space of therapy is created together.
I was born in El Salvador and immigrated to the United States at age six. This significant transition, and many others, led me to find a place in the helping profession. I believe we all have unique and profound experiences that push us to transform and adapt. I recognize that some of these shifts can be difficult, spontaneous, and consuming. It’s in those moments when we need love and security from others, and from ourselves. I think we all deserve that.
My approach is relational and creative. I believe that we can all live a meaningful and purposeful life, and that a little or big feeling of being “stuck” is an opportunity for exploration and healing. Self-discovery helps us address our unmet needs, understand our behaviors in the context of our culture and community, and live in-line with our values.
Taking the time to be with yourself, and to process your experiences, feelings, and thoughts is a great way to practice self-love.
